I personally think it's fair to pay an artist for their time cos they are bringing something to the event. I always pay all DJs and MCs for any events I have done under Proper Boppers for example for my Birthday Bus Rave I not only paid out of my pocket the bus, paid Rough Tempo to lend their equipment but all artist got £50, free drinks, free entry and promotional shots. I didn't make a profit and nor am I rich but I believe in the peace, love and Unity and the fact were all under the same family. Some artist were surprised they were paid but they truly earned every penny xx
